Cabernet Franc from Serenity Vineyards on the west side of Seneca Lake, farmed by our friends at Hermann J Wiemer. Dark, brambly strawberries and plums, tomato leaf herbaceousness, toeing the line between playful and serious.
Hand harvested, 50 percent whole cluster maceration. Gentle extraction during the 14-day fermentation. Aged in neutral barriques, with sulfur added after malolactic and before bottling. Unfined and unfiltered.
